JPJ Cawangan Petaling Jaya is a major branch of the Road Transport Department (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan) located on Jalan Sultan, near the PJ New Town area. It is the primary office for vehicle and driver-related administrative tasks for residents in Petaling Jaya.
SERVICES:
Driver Licensing: You can handle the issuance and renewal of Competent Driving Licenses (CDL), Learner’s (L) and Probationary (P) licenses, as well as Vocational Licenses (GDL/PSV).
Vehicle Licensing (Road Tax): Note that as of February 1, 2026, JPJ has officially ceased printing physical road tax stickers. You can now view your digital road tax via the MyJPJ app.
Vehicle Ownership: Facilitates the transfer of vehicle ownership (tukar hak milik) and new vehicle registrations.
Summons & Blacklist: You can check for outstanding traffic summonses and settle payments to clear any blacklist status that might be preventing your license or road tax renewal.
